It is said to have been the first time the brothers were together since the band split up.

“The guns are silent,” is apparently what they say, because Oasis confirmed a reunion tour.

Yes, Liam and Noel Gallagher have settled their differences enough to announce a host of dates across the UK and Ireland for next year.

It’s been nearly 15 years since Oasis split up, and the pair have been infamous for their feud ever since, so it’s fair to say fans were surprised to hear that the brothers would actually be performing together again.

And sometime before the announcement this morning (August 27), they secretly met in the same room to plan the comeback.

Liam and Noel have reportedly not spoken since the band split, but seem to have miraculously buried the hatchet to some extent (albeit just a little and not that deeply), as they were seen “laughing and joking” at the photoshoot.

Fans felt that in the picture that accompanied Oasis’ big announcement, it was not entirely clear whether the brothers had been photoshopped together or not.

But a source told the Daily Mirror: “I know it looks like it’s Photoshopped but they were both there and met each other. They were laughing and joking. It was great to see each other again after all these years.”

And sources told The Sun that the atmosphere in the room was “electric” after fans thought they would never see the pair standing next to each other again.

“It was a moment of resentment to have Noel and Liam together. It’s taken a lot to get them to this point but they’re thinking of the fans,” one said.

During the “top secret” photo shoot, the atmosphere in the room was apparently “sparkling”.

They added: “So many people never thought something like this would happen. But now the brakes are off – and things are going to get crazy.”

Announcing the tour dates today, the band said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars are aligned. The long wait is over. Come and see for yourself. It won’t be televised.”

It is reported that this long-awaited, almost unbelievable reunion came about after some “late-night conversations” between the brothers, with Noel reportedly agreeing after being persuaded to accept an initial payout of £50 million.

If the brothers manage to maintain their “laughing and joking” attitude towards each other, next year’s tours could bring in a whopping £400 million, according to music experts.

There are also rumors that Oasis will take over one of the headliner slots at Glastonbury, although the dates for this are completely open.
