John William “Willy” Scharenberg, 61, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born on December 27, 1962 in Chillicothe to Charles Raymond and Doris Kathleen (Osterloh) Scharenberg.
He was a member of FOE 1325, an employee of Johnson Controls in Greenfield for nearly 30 years, and a former employee of Collins Meat Packing.
He is survived by his daughter, Kourtney Scharenberg of Washington, CH; one granddaughter, Bailey Amyx; his mother, Doris Scharenberg of Greenfield; two sisters, Debbie (Sam) Campbell of Greenfield and Chris (Steve) Yates of Frankfort; two brothers, Chuck (Susie) Scharenberg of Greenfield and David (Rita) Scharenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his little nephew Noah Campbell, his great-niece Madison Gray and his father Charles “Chuck” Scharenberg.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20th at 7 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield. Marcus Hamlin will officiate. Cremation will follow.
The viewing will take place on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
