The guy you’re about to read about in this story needs to GROW THE FUCK UP.

And that’s a fact, Jack!

But don’t take my word for it: read this story from Reddit and see for yourself!

Start now!

“My brother-in-law (24 M) asked me to buy him a bed for his birthday.

He lives with my mother-in-law and has always been bad with money.

I found out that he makes $1,000 on good months and has trouble paying his half of his mother’s rent.

This guy has some problems…

He works in a fast food restaurant and does not want to ask for overtime because he simply does not want to work more than he is currently doing (he works 2 days a week – 16 hours in total). He also explains that his fear prevents him from wanting to work because his boss does not allow him to listen to music while working and he is not allowed to use his phone at work, which he considers a “deprivation of his human rights”.

He called me and asked me to buy him a bed for his birthday. For some reason he sends everyone in the family a list of all the presents he wants for his birthday (he’s 24…) and asked me for a bed because he’s been sleeping on a sofa since he moved back in with his mom.

I told him I would think about it and I really don’t mind. It’s only $200.

He explained that he cannot afford it and is having difficulty buying one in the near future

They heard news about what was going on.

However, this week I found out that he has been saving up to visit Universal Studios theme park and is trying to save $3,000 to spend a week there next year.

So I told him I wasn’t going to buy his bed.

I know I’m not his father, but something inside me resents him for telling me he can’t buy a bed he needs because he’s saving up for a trip to Disneyland.

I told him that he must use the money he saves for the trip to buy his bed because BCS take priority.

Again, it’s not about the money for me. I’m getting by well and earning a six-figure salary.

It’s about asking for help when you can’t help yourself.

AITA, because you withdrew my offer to get it for him?”
