Kitten tells his owner that his sibling is stealing his food – breaks his heart

A kitten named Biscus has been melting hearts on social media after his owner filmed him trying to tell her that his big brother had stolen his special food. However, there was a problem with his attempt to communicate.

The viral video, shared on Instagram in May under the username juliaa_thecatlady, shows the kitten anxiously approaching its mother and unsuccessfully attempting to meow.

Even though his meow wasn’t coming from his mouth, the person who created the poster knew something was up. She followed him to his food bowl and found her big cat, Banzai, eating the bowl.

“That time my kitten wanted to tell me that the big cat had eaten all his cat food – but he couldn’t meow,” reads one caption.

The poster, Julia Comeau from North Carolina, told Newsweek that little Biscus had only been with her for about a month at the time the video was shot and was severely underweight.

“I suspect he was abandoned by humans in a cat colony and I found him in a dumpster. So he was given cat food and additional wet food to gain weight.”

Comeau also explained that Banzai is much older than Biscus and is fed a food for older cats with urinary problems, although he clearly likes the kittens’ food better.

“He kept pushing Biscus to his food bowl so he could eat the cat food. Biscus learned to tell on him, and that’s exactly what happens in the video.”

Catster explains that kittens should be fed milk, possibly their mother’s, or formula from birth, and that wet food cannot be introduced into the diet until they are about four to five weeks old.

From six weeks of age, you can give your dogs dry food in addition to the wet food pouches. From eight weeks of age, they can eat either one or both types of food, or a combination of both, at each meal.

Newborns should be fed every two to four hours. As they grow, they will need to eat every six hours. After six months, you can feed them twice a day, giving them 2/3 to 1¼ cups of dry food, or 1/4 to 1/2 can per pound of body weight.

The video quickly went viral on social media, reaching viewers across Instagram. To date, it has been viewed over 4.9 million times on the platform and has received 506,665 likes.

One user, Priscosaurus, commented: “Psst, I’m not a snitch, but I haven’t had a proper meal in days.”

Itskika95 wrote: “He didn’t want the other cat to hear that HE had snitched.”

Han.intheclouds added, “Ma’am, there is a full-grown panther in your house.”
