One of the new LEGO seasonal sets for this holiday season is the Christmas Table Decoration (40743). The 433-piece set costs $39.99 and will be released on September 1st.
The first part of the structure is the base on which everything else is built. This is done using a series of slabs and curved stones.
For the open part of the leaves, first build the outer edges with some of the dark green leaves. Right in the middle there is a round platform that will be used for the candle and other flower decorations.
Then more leaves are layered on top, this time with some lighter green leaves.
Red berries are attached to the ends of the leaves, while the bushes have ball joints on the sides.
Next come white flowers on the brown branches and pearl gold fireworks as golden stars.
Finally, we have the red candle in the middle and the dark red band at the front.
Overall, the LEGO Christmas Table Decoration (40743) is a very pretty and detailed set that covers a lot of space with various plant pieces. The downside is that it is also quite fragile as pieces tend to fall off. Don’t even think about holding the set by the candle. The price is also a little high for what you get. I think $24.99 would have been the perfect price for this and even $29.99 would be borderline.
