I’m so excited to see Lauren LaVera’s Sienna again in “Terrifier 3”

Lauren LaVera’s Sienna was a fantastic addition to the previous entry, so I’m happy to see Terrifier 3 abandons an old horror cliché by bringing them back. Like many horror fans, I am familiar with franchises like Halloween or Nightmare on Elm Street. In pretty much every long-running horror series, the focus inevitably shifts to the killer, with Freddy Krueger or Michael Myers becoming the “heroes” instead of their supposed protagonists. This also means that their original final girls – like nightmare Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) – was often killed to make room for new characters.

There are also behind-the-scenes reasons, such as actors not wanting to return or being too old for a role, but it is almost always a disappointment. I think one of the most memorable final girls of recent years Terrifier 2 Sienna, a teenager who seems destined to be Art the Clown’s arch enemyFrom her distinctive Valkyrie Halloween costume to LaVera’s sympathetic portrayal, Sienna was a vast improvement over the somewhat underdeveloped heroines of the original Terrorbringer Film.

Terrifier 3 cleverly revolves around Lauren LaVera’s Sienna rather than replacing her

I am also glad that Sienna is not killed in the first ten minutes or that a new protagonist is introduced,
Terrifier 3
seems to make VaVera’s heroine a major part of the story.

The first two films are a matter of taste due to their extreme brutality, although the shock success of Terrifier 2 proves that there is an audience for a horror film that pushes the boundaries a little further. I love the look of the upcoming Terrifier 3 so far, where Art takes bloody revenge at Christmas. I am also glad to see that Sienna is not killed in the first ten minutes or a new protagonist is introduced, Terrifier 3 seems to make VaVera’s heroine a major part of the story.

Director Damien Leone claims he created Sienna in response to complaints that the first film lacked strong characters, and he wanted to create a heroine who was the exact opposite of Art. Sienna not only returns, but I can see from the trailer that it will indeed be about her trauma from their previous encounter.. It might be fun to have another Terrifer where Art just runs around causing bloody chaos, but Sienna brings a welcome human element to the saga.

Lauren Lavera’s return to Terrifier 3 can cement Sienna’s status as a great modern Final Girl

I also hope that the next Terrifier avoids a crucial mistake made by Final Girl.

Bring Sienna back for Terrifier 3 was the right decision, but I think the big challenge for the third chapter will be to cement her place among the best modern Final Girls. The last decade has seen some great newcomers like Samara Weaving’s Grace from Ready or Not and Maika Monroe’s Jay from It followsand Sienna also deserves a place on this list. Assumed Terrifier 3 is as successful as the second outing, the fan base for Sienna will probably become even bigger to.

A trope, I hope Terrifier 3 will avoid is killing Sienna to establish her replacement in a possible sequel. I remember the sudden death of Jenna Kanell’s Tara in the first film, who was seemingly the protagonist until Art shot her about halfway through. There are also films like Nightmare on Elm Street 3 – The Big Dreamin which Nancy Thompson is a main character until her shocking death in the finale. Terrifier 3 should definitely take risks with the property, but I can’t be the only one who thinks killing Sienna would be a terrible move.
