Starting November 21, here’s a look at the second season of “Based on a True Story” starring Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina from showrunner Annie Weisman.

Even as we look toward the final days of summer, Peacock is making sure we get our fill of year-end chaos with the second season of showrunner/writer Annie Weisman‘S Kaley Cuoco And Chris Messina-with Based on a true story returns on November 21st with all eight episodes – Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) joins the cast.

In season two, new parents Ava (Cuoco) and Nathan Bartlett (Messina) have been parents for three months. Focused on her family, Ava is determined to resist her obsession with true crime and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan coaches private tennis clients. But a series of new murders draws her back – is Matt (Tom Bateman) behind the murders? Is Tory (Liana Liberato), now entangled in a relationship with Matt, in danger? For a while, life is good – Ava’s TikTok addiction and her new boyfriend Drew (Fumero) provide a welcome distraction and Nathan has done everything he can to revive his tennis career and his friendship with Matt – until danger literally knocks on the door.

Tom Bateman’s portrayal of Matt effortlessly switches between charming and creepy, while Liana Liberato embodies Tory’s feisty free spirit. And we’re thrilled to welcome Melissa Fumero to the series in a surprising new role.
