New York Jets 2024 game-by-game prediction

New York Jets 2024 game-by-game prediction

Time to predict the New York Jets season before they run off and ruin my life for another year!

Fun fact: Kids born in 2007 have never seen the Jets play live in the playoffs. Rising high school seniors have never seen this team play when it counts…wow.

Week 1 September 9th @ 49ers 8:15pm 20-17 loss

The offense won’t look great, but the defense should look good. It seems wrong to say the Jets will win. I hope we see an Aaron Rodgers who doesn’t get injured, and hopefully we don’t have to run the ball up the middle with Breece Hall on every first down attempt? I just hope the team holds up well.

Week 2, September 15 @ Titans, 1:00 p.m., 30-14 win

The Titans are weak. They have a not so good quarterback and a weak receiver core. All they have are two good running backs. Hopefully the offense will rebound after a disappointing first week. But they better crush the Titans.

Week 3, September 19 against Patriots, 28:17 win

I was excited to attend this Thursday night game against the Patriots. Unfortunately, it was ruined by a home game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. I hope the Patriots come out fired up and we dominate the entire game.

Week 4, September 29 against Broncos, 21-7 win

The Broncos defense is OK, but their offense is terrible. Hopefully the offense plays well, but the defense dominates this game. It should be another win.

Week 5 October 6th “@” Vikings 28-24 win

London football is great. I can’t wait to get up at 9am to watch this game. It’s going to be closer than most people would expect, especially because it’s against Sam Darnold. If it’s against a former Jet, he’s got to take the Jets down. Darnold will throw three touchdowns before we pull out the win in a great London battle.

Week 6, October 14 vs. Bills, 37-31, overtime win

No receivers for the Bills? They were never supposed to score 31 points. But thanks to Josh Allen’s rules and an AFC East team against the Jets on a Monday night, they’ll have a great offensive performance before Aaron Rodgers throws a game-winning pass to Garret Wilson in overtime. Jets record: 5-1? I’m guessing so.

Week 7, October 20 @ Steelers, 28-7 win

It’s simple. The Steelers have quarterback issues and George Pickens is really good, but he’s not good enough to improve the bad offense. Their defense is good, but not good enough to shut down the Jets offense. The Jets score 28 points. Again. 6-1.

Week 8, October 27 @ Patriots, 27-21 win

We can’t play well in Foxborough, so we’re going to play hard against this dangerously bad Patriots team. The Patriots handle the cold just as well as the Jets. Hopefully Rodgers can get us past this team in Foxborough. 7 and 1!

Week 9 October 31st vs Texans 31-21 loss

Realistically, the Texans win this game because their offense is so strong and they have a strong defense. Do I think the Jets will lose? Absolutely not. But I can see it happening. The Texans win and the Jets are 7-2.

Week 10 November 10th @ Cardinals 42-14 win

Let’s not pretend that Kyler Murray is going to come back and change the game of football. This Cardinals team is not dangerous at all. Marvin Harrison Jr. could pull off a Thanos-like performance out of nowhere and they would still lose. The Jets win this game and move to 8-2.

Week 11, November 17th vs Colts, 35-17 win

I love Anthony Richardson and I think he’s going to be great. But he’s not going to change the game anytime soon. This Colts roster isn’t good enough to stop the Jets on offense or defense, and it shouldn’t be close. The Jets dominate again! 9-2.

Week 13 December 1st vs Seahawks 24-21 loss

Geno Smith was created to destroy teams at will. This will be one of those games. The offense will be weak all game, building a 21-17 lead in the final three minutes. Geno Smith will then drive the ball 75 yards into the heart of the Jets, handing the Jets their third loss. 9-3.

Week 14, December 8 @ Dolphins, 34-21 loss

Two in a row. The Dolphins will dominate the game with Mike McDaniel running his little jet sweeps back and forth over the Jets defense. The incredible speed of this Dolphins team will be what will beat the Jets on this day. With the warm weather in Miami, the Dolphins win. 9-4

Week 15 December 15th vs Jaguars 31-27 win

This Jaguars team is good, but their quarterback is totally overrated. Trevor Lawrence is not good enough to lead this team against the Jets, and we will play this game at home to end the two-game losing streak and get a decisive win. 10-4

Week 16, December 22nd vs. Rams, 31-28 win

Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. Whatever. Anyone who thinks highly of the Rams is just completely wrong. They won’t be good enough to win the game if they get a chance at the end of the game, which inevitably will happen. In Jets fashion, we keep this game close before we pull it off and win by three points. Yuck. 11-4

Week 17, December 29 @ Buffalo, 21-10 loss

We can’t play in Buffalo. Especially not when it’s -3, like this game probably will be. The team will start slow and play that way the whole game as Josh Allen comes up with great conversions to beat the team. Painful. 11-5

Week 18, January 5th against Dolphins, 28-17 win

IN JANUARY! Oh man, the Dolphins can’t play football in below 4 degrees. The Jets need a win in this game to secure the division, and they dominate the Dolphins at home, giving them not only their first playoff game, but a home playoff game. 12-5

12-5 is the official record.
