Singapore Airlines increases frequencies on European flights

Due to increased demand, Singapore Airlines plans to increase its flight frequencies on routes to several European cities in 2025.

From 30 March 2025, the airline will offer a daily service between Singapore and London Gatwick, in addition to the current five-times-a-week service launched in June. Together with the four-times-a-day flights to London Heathrow, the airline will offer five daily connections to the British capital.

Connections to Rome will also be increased from the current four weekly flights to five times a week between 26 June and 28 August 2025.

The airline also plans to discontinue its thrice-weekly Singapore-Milan-Barcelona service from June 24 to September 7, 2025, to offer more direct flights to the two European cities. This will introduce a five-times-weekly direct flight between Singapore and Barcelona, in addition to the current two-times-weekly flights. A direct flight to Milan will also be offered daily during this period, in addition to the four-times-weekly flights in the current schedule.

Due to these capacity adjustments – as well as additional flight frequencies to Australia, South Africa, Vietnam and Cambodia – the airline will discontinue service from Singapore to Houston via Manchester from April 1, 2025. However, the five-times-weekly service between Singapore and Manchester will continue, according to the airline.

“Singapore Airlines regularly reviews our network and routes to adjust our capacity to meet demand,” said Dai Haoyu, acting senior vice president of marketing planning at Singapore Airlines.

“With these adjustments ahead of next summer, we are responding to increased demand for several destinations, particularly during the traditional mid-year peak travel season, and enabling our customers to make their 2025 travel plans with confidence,” he added.
