This week, Taylor Swift will end their Europe Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium, ending a three-month series of shows and Travis Kelce sent the superstar a gift to commemorate the occasion.
Kelce sent 51 boxes of roses, alluding to the original 51 days the tour was supposed to last, according to The sunSwift’s final show will be number 48, after three were cancelled due to a foiled terrorist attack in Vienna earlier this month.
The rose boxes cost approximately $616 per box, which totals $31,416 per The sunIt was the last gift Kelce sent Swift during the tour, after he had already sent gifts worth $5,800 following the cancellation of Vienna.
Kelce and Swift started dating in 2023 NFL season, and it became one of the biggest stories in the league. Cameras caught plenty of footage of the pop star at Kansas City Chiefs games, starting with her first appearance when they faced the Chicago Bears.
The goal, Kelce said, was to keep it as private as possible since Swift is perhaps the biggest name in music. But the first time she was at Arrowhead Stadium, things really took off.
“Nobody knew what was going on,” Kelce said of the beginning of his relationship with Swift. “We kept it between ourselves as best we could. But of course, when she came to a game, it was tough from then on.”
“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I don’t want to hide anything. That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my wife. I’m proud of that. So I’m not sitting here trying to juggle how to keep that a secret. You know what I mean? You just don’t want to let everyone know about your private life and be able to comment on it when you know that everything she does is making headlines.”
When Taylor Swift came to Europe with her Eras Tour, Travis Kelce also made sure to see her. He even appeared on stage during a show in London that quickly went viral. On his New heights Podcast, Kelce said it was his idea to jump on stage with Swift – and she was all for it.
“I mentioned it to Tay first,” Kelce said. “I thought, ‘How fun would it be if I just rode off on one of those bikes in 1989.'”
