Leading travel technology provider Sabre Corporation has renewed its long-term distribution agreement with Delta Air Lines, offering Sabre-affiliated travel advisors access to EDIFACT and New Distribution Capability (NDC) content.

Delta announced it would begin testing a new NDC process in April. The airline wanted to move away from EDIFACT, but both processes will continue to be used by travel advisors for years to come, benefiting both corporate and independent travel advisors who book flights for their clients.

“We are excited to expand our full content agreement and value-based business model with Sabre,” said Jeff Lobl, Managing Director, Distribution Strategy and Agency Sales Programs at Delta Air Lines. “We look forward to working with Sabre to bring Delta’s NDC technology solution to all Sabre-affiliated travel agencies and ensure our customers receive the best possible travel experience tailored to their needs.”

In June, Sabre executives shared an update on the company’s latest innovations and partnerships, including a partnership with Google and the launch of Sabre Mosaic, a program for airline partners.

The news comes the same day that Delta Air Lines announced an enhanced SkyMiles membership program for business travelers called Delta Business Traveler. The program offers a free trial to use Industrious’ premium global workspaces, additional miles earned on Delta Stays and car rentals, and free Hertz Five Star status for six months.
