Thank you, firefighters: Healdsburg photos of the day

HEALDSBURG, CA – Patch reader Melinda Pressler took photos of these signs she spotted on West Dry Creek Road in Healdsburg.

“A little sign says a lot,” Melinda wrote in an email to Patch.

The Point Fire broke out on June 16 in northwest Healdsburg and threatened homes in the Dry Creek Valley.

Firefighters from Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties battled the blaze, which ravaged 1,207 acres of land until it was brought under control on June 24. Only three buildings were destroyed and two were damaged.

One firefighter was hospitalized for a non-burn-related injury sustained in the first hours of the fire.
