The Democratic National Committee released the final draft of the Democratic Party’s 2024 platform on Sunday, which was subsequently approved by delegates at the party convention in Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, the first day of the convention.
The release of the program comes a month after the presumptive candidate, President Joe Biden, dropped out of the race and installed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor.
At 92 pages, the Democrats’ platform is considerably longer than the 16-page Republican counterpart released last month and lays out a completely different agenda.
Here are five notable provisions in the Democratic Party’s 2024 platform.
