MJF says AEW’s dressing room has never been this tight and talks about a possible TV deal

MJF recently commented on the state of the AEW locker room and the company’s potential media rights deal. The AEW star was a guest on WrestleTalk and was asked about QT Marshall’s recent comments dismissing the notion that “the inmates run the institution” in AEW. You can see some highlights below, according to Fightful:

Regarding Marshall’s comments: “I’m going to be completely transparent here. I don’t feel like I’m breaking the fourth wall, which is why ‘things leak out.’ It’s unfortunate because 99.99999% of the time it’s not true or it’s completely exaggerated. The locker room has never been this close. It’s never been a better work environment. That’s based on everything I’ve been told. Nobody talks to me or hangs out with me, and I like that. It seems like everyone is united, not just in hating me, but they all seem to get along. It seems like a real team effort right now, and it seems like everyone believes in All Elite Wrestling and is trying to keep All Elite Wrestling moving forward.”

On AEW’s possible upcoming TV deal with WBD: “As far as I know, we’re close to getting an answer as to whether or not we’re going to get a big sum of money from Turner. If we are, then we’re dealing with the most successful professional wrestling company of all time, next to WWE. Why isn’t that being talked about? I’ll tell you why. You don’t make money that way. This isn’t a smackdown from me. I’m a star, I’m one of the biggest names in the business, that’s a fact, because I’m a bit of a lightning rod and a bit controversial. What’s controversial about you saying, ‘If they get this TV deal, they’ll literally be the second most successful wrestling company that’s ever existed’?”
