Delta flight attendant repeatedly hit passenger with “overloaded” drinks cart: lawsuit

A Delta Airlines employee hit a passenger several times with a drinks cart on a flight to New York, causing “serious” injuries, the woman claims in a lawsuit.

Florida resident Gail Hamilton was sitting in an aisle seat aboard Delta Flight 263 from Paris to John F. Kennedy on June 21, 2022, when a flight attendant “unexpectedly” struck her multiple times with the “loaded cart,” injuring her right shoulder, she said in the filing in Manhattan federal court.

Hamilton-, which is seeking unspecified damages, accused Delta and the unidentified employee of negligence because they had failed to adequately train the workers and had failed to operate the cart in the aisle of the aircraft safely.

Hamilton’s lawyer and a Delta spokesman declined to comment.

Delta has not been on a high recently.

Last week, the airline was sued in a US district court in Georgia for refusing to issue refunds following the CrowdStrike chaos last month, when hundreds of flights were canceled in the US following a global technology outage that crippled industries worldwide.
