One-way street regulation next week

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will implement the following one-way traffic restrictions on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 next week due to maintenance and construction. The work is scheduled as follows:

State Road 49

• One-way traffic from Mount Bullion Cutoff Road to Mt. Ophir Road due to road construction works from Monday, August 19. Work will continue until Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

• One-way traffic from Joe Howard Road to Mariposa Creek due to road construction on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

State Road 140

• One-way traffic from the beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 due to road construction from Sunday, August 18 to Monday, August 19, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Work will continue from Tuesday, August 20 to Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

• One-way traffic will be imposed on Whitlock Road into Yosemite National Park for road construction beginning Sunday, August 18. Work will continue through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays of 5-10 minutes and use alternative routes if possible.

The schedule for this work is as stated, however changes may occur due to traffic disruptions, weather, equipment/material availability and construction issues.
