Tyler Hubbardmulti-platinum artist and former member of Florida-Georgia Line, has announced an Australian headline tour as part of his Strong world tourThe tour celebrates his eponymous second album (out in April) and is the second time Hubbard has come Down Under this year, following CMC Rocks in Queensland.

Excited by the response Strong and the energy he experienced at CMC Rocks, Hubbard promises to match the party his Australian fans will bring to the shows in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast.

Hubbard said: “I feel like the new album has been really well received at the shows and it seems like the fans are already into it and have connected with it. A lot of them know the lyrics – it’s just an exciting time. I felt all the love on my first album and I feel it just as much, if not more, on my second album. You can feel it live too; it just means the world to me.”

Fans who had the pleasure of seeing Hubbard headline CMC Rocks will not miss any tracks from Strong, which was not yet released at the time. Hubbard is looking forward to touring the album with the Australian rodeo cowboy and country musician Wade Forster Support the October shows.

“At CMC Rocks, I haven’t had my second album yet, so I’m excited to come back with all the new music. It’ll have been out for about eight months or so at this point, so I’m excited for everyone to get to know the music.

“I just feel like the energy is going to increase over the next six months. I’m just excited – I know the fans in Australia bring a lot of energy, so they can expect a lot of energy from me and the guys as well. Our excitement is already building and we’re super pumped to get back to our Australian fans.”

Strong follows Hubbard’s 2023 self-titled solo album, with the American-born artist already building his reputation and fanbase as one half of the multi-platinum duo. Florida-Georgia Linewhich separated in 2022.Florida Georgia Lint During the group’s 12-year run, 21 number one singles landed on US country radio, and Hubbard’s solo career is following a similar trajectory.

Hubbard’s eponymous debut album, released last January, quickly went gold and garnered an impressive 1.33 billion streams worldwide. Strong has also had early success and Hubbard says fans can expect a mix of both albums on the tour.

“We’ll play a lot from the first album, a lot from the second album and everything in between. It should be a party.”

Hubbard continued: “I have been up to my neck in a few shows this year with Kane Brown at the moment, and it’s really good research.

“Being on stage every night, making little adjustments every show and really focusing on a perfect set to create as many moments as possible where you really engage the fans and build a connection with them. The only way to learn that is to play shows – it’s great that we get to play a ton of shows this year and perfect our set.”

He continues: “My approach is that every concert I go to, I know I can learn something from it. So I literally go and try to learn something from every set and every show I see. And when I’m on the road with Kane Brown, I see how he’s evolved – he used to open for us.

“Now I can learn from him and he teaches me little things that I really respect. I feel like there’s a lot of talent in the country music genre in general – even outside of the genre and you see how everyone connects with their audience in a different way. It’s a cool art, a gift.”

Hubbard is looking forward to stepping foot on Australian soil in October and is thrilled to have Wade Forster supporting the show and getting the audience in the mood for the seventy-minute show.

“I’ve been sent his (Wade Forster) music and heard about him. I love what he does and have been a fan of his music. I’m excited to have him at the shows – it’s also nice to have a local guy there to help me and the guys feel at home and get to know him well. It’s a really cool time for country music; it’s very dynamic and diverse. Everyone brings something to the genre.”

Hubbard has also been included in the Savannah In The Round program, which takes place at the Mareeba Rodeo Arena in the Cairns hinterland over the long weekend of October 11-13. General admission tickets for Strong The World Tour shows in Australia are available via Ticketek.
