Josh Lucas celebrated Carol Burnett’s 91st birthday with a sweet tribute – and an attempt to become her new celebrity crush.
Lucas, 52, stars in Apple TV+ Palm Royale alongside the comedy legend, and on April 26, he shared a photo with her from the set of the show to celebrate her milestone birthday.
Reflecting on his recent appearance with Kristen Wiig at Deadline’s Contenders TV event on April 14, Lucas began his Instagram post by saying, “We were at the @deadline event and I said @itscarolburnett is turning 91 and someone in the audience shouted back with a snarky, judgmental tone, ‘No, she’s 81!'”
“Happy 91st birthday, Carol! No one in this business has ever proven to me that they are a better professional and a more lovable person than you! In your case, 90 is the new 60.”
He ended the post with an attempt to win Burnett’s heart, writing, “I know you have a soft spot for #bradleycooper but if that ever wears off, know that I’m waiting in the wings…”

Days earlier, Burnett had received the gift of his life during a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! when the late-night host surprised her with a birthday message from Bradley Cooper.
“Hi Carol Burnett, this is Bradley Cooper,” the 49-year-old actor began his video message. “I just wanted to wish you a happy 91st birthday.”
“I have been a huge fan of yours since I was a child and have followed your show regularly. It is a pleasure to leave you this message,” he continued. “I hope to meet you one day and maybe even work with you. Have a great day, see you soon.”

Burnett was shocked by the video and told Kimmel, 56, “Oh, that’s hilarious. I love that.”
“It’s not sex. It’s a step in that direction,” Kimmel joked. “That’s what Bradley does – he sends a video message first.”
Burnett, however, remained calm and thanked him for the “adorable” gesture. “What a great birthday present, thank you,” she said.

The actress originally expressed her love and desire for Cooper during an appearance in Live with Kelly and Mark in March.
Mark Consuelos told Burnett that he loved her Let’s talk off camera with Kelly Ripa podcast episode with his wife that aired last year ahead of her 90th birthday. During the episode, Burnett said “something very funny” that Consuelos shared with the audience.
“‘Is there anything you’ve wanted to do but haven’t done before you turn 90?’ And you said, ‘George Clooney,'” Consuelos recalled.
Ripa then asked if Clooney, 62, had reached out, to which the actress revealed that she was “thinking about Bradley Cooper” now that she was approaching her 91st birthday, prompting Kimmel to make the hilarious and sweet gesture.

The only thing that seems to stand in Burnett’s way – both Cooper and Lucas – is Brian Miller, her husband of over 20 years. “I don’t think it’s going to work out with my husband,” she joked to Ripa and Consuelos.
Cooper and Lucas are also taken. maestro The actor has been dating Gigi Hadid since October and Lucas is currently dating meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo.
