Brooke Shields says John F. Kennedy Jr.’s kiss was “the best kiss I’ve ever had in my life”

The actress recalled a date with the late John F. Kennedy Jr. and why she “didn’t want to sleep with him”

Brooke Shields says John F. Kennedy Jr. did not disappoint when it came to kissing.

While you’re on SiriusXM The Howard Stern Show This week Shields spoke about her life and career while promoting her new documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shieldsnow on Hulu. During the interview, the actress recalled her date with Kennedy Jr. and revealed that he is still her best kiss.

Shields recalled being “so madly in love” with Kennedy Jr. “since I was about three years old,” explaining, “My mother always said, ‘That’s the boy you’re going to marry.'”

She met him decades later on a ski trip in Aspen, Colorado. Shields recalled, “He kept saying I looked like his mother, which was really interesting and a compliment, (but) I also thought, ‘I don’t know what to make of this.’ And then we went on a real date. And I didn’t want to sleep with him because I kind of loved him too much.”

Shields said the date started at a pub with the rest of his famous family, and there were “bar fights and drinking.” “He said, ‘Do you want to get out of here?’ And I said, ‘Uh, yeah, I want to get out of here, John Kennedy,'” she recalled.

“He kissed me and it was the best kiss I’ve ever had in my life. It was beyond disappointing. The lips are beautiful and the face is incredible, and the body and the person, and he was down to earth and funny and irreverent,” Shields said.

She added: “I froze because he meant so much to me. I thought to myself, ‘Oh my God, you fall in love and if you sleep with him he might not talk to you anymore – and you can’t handle that. I wasn’t playing a game. I was really so scared of getting really hurt because if I slept with him I would have given him my whole universe, my heart, my everything.'”

“I had to take a cab home, which was a little less gallant,” she added. Then, the next day, “Kennedy Jr. didn’t look at me or speak to me,” Shields said, adding, “On one hand, I thought, ‘Shit!’ On the other hand, I thought, ‘Thank God… he showed his true colors.'”

Kennedy Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette and their sister Lauren died in July 1999 when his plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.

Shields celebrated her 22nd wedding anniversary with her husband Chris Henchy this week. They have two daughters together, Grier (16) and Rowan (19).
