Bindi Irwin’s photos of her daughter with a red panda caused controversy

One of our favorite mother-daughter duos, Bindi Irwin and her daughter Grace Warrior, had the cutest moment together, with a red panda! However, these sweet photos sparked a controversy and we are so damn confused.

Get ready for a cuteness overdose when you see Bindi, her daughter Grace Warrior and a fluffy red panda together! That’s right, Bindi shared a few snaps of the three on Instagram on August 10, with the caption: “Meet Teddy. ❤️ The cutest red panda with a true love of snacks. Hope you can meet him on your next #AustraliaZoo adventure…”

In the first photo, we see Bindi feeding the fluffy red panda named Timmy while he stands on top of her and above Grace Warrior (who looks like the happiest kid in the world as she smiles at her fluffy friend)! In the next picture, we can see Grace Warrior getting ready to pet Timmy, who looks as cute as can be while looking off to the side.

This seems like a super cute photo of our favorite animal-loving family, doesn’t it? Well, the comments are fighting a fierce battle, with many claiming that these photos are photoshopped. Many in the comments are saying things like, “I can’t tell if he’s real or not,” “This is so obviously photoshopped…” and “This is sooooooo photoshopped à la Kate Middleton.” Their reasoning is that the panda looks like it’s not even on Bindi. Many have agreed with them, and just as many have come to Bindi’s defense.

But controversy aside, we are obsessed with these pictures and how happy the mother-daughter duo looks at the Australia Zoo (honestly, it always warms our hearts)!

For those who don’t know, Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell welcomed their daughter Grace Warrior, 3, on March 25, 2021, exactly one year after their intimate wedding ceremony at Australia Zoo.

In a previous interview with SheKnows, Bindi talked about how she thinks playing with her daughter is one of the most important things. “Those bonding moments of play are something I still get out of my life as an adult and I think that’s really special. (S)playtime is so important because it gives kids the opportunity to have those building blocks as a foundation for the rest of their lives.”

She added: “You play and build confidence, you expand your knowledge and discover the magic of the world around you.”
