Bowling Green man charged with possession of sexual abuse material of minors

BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky – A Bowling Green man faces multiple charges related to depictions of sexual abuse of minors.

According to a unified report from the Bowling Green Police Department, detectives responded to a case on Wednesday involving an 11-year-old victim.

Through their investigation, investigators discovered that 19-year-old Sarbast Yousif of Bowling Green was in possession of sexually explicit videos of the child that had been sent to him.

According to police, after speaking to investigators, Yousif finally admitted to having the two videos. He agreed to have his phone searched, police said.

Yousif said he deleted the images after learning that someone else had told him about his “relationship” with the victim, the statement said.

According to police, Yousif also had sexually explicit images of other minors on his phone.

According to police, a 15-year-old victim from Missouri said Yousif contacted her and asked for sexually explicit images.

Yousif was taken into custody and transported to the Warren County Detention Center.

He is charged with procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, possession of material depicting sexual conduct by a minor under the age of 12, possession of material depicting sexual conduct by a minor over the age of 12 but under the age of 18, first offense and tampering with evidence.
