They add, “And all of my gifts were books or book themed. I just wanted to thank your daughter for the greatest party idea ever (and you for the input)!”

Natali wrote that she does not want to leave X because of such interactions.

Others, in response to her video, began sharing their own anecdotes about their love of potatoes, like this one X-user who talked about the “potato funeral dinner” held in honor of her late great-aunt Gert.

Gert loved potatoes and didn’t consider them dinner until there were a few tubers on the table. “When she died at 98, we all cooked potato dishes for lunch after her funeral,” the post said.

Another person wrote that the amount of different types of potatoes was 100 percent correct. “This is so cool. Also, six different types of potatoes is pretty special and I have a lot of respect for the thinking that came to the conclusion that five would be too few for a truly celebratory moment and seven would be overkill,” she wrote.

Someone else wished that this would inspire more and more people to host potato book parties as well: “I hope this has inspired a lot of people to host their own potato book parties. It sounds cozy and fun.”

Another person said they had planned this for themselves, too: “My birthday is on Saturday, and that gives me just enough time to throw a potato book party. I’m sure we all have the same potatoes in mind for my Orioles family.”
