A man posted a rather disheartening message on Reddit on his birthday. He shared that he only received two calls on his birthday, one from his girlfriend. Another from his boyfriend. The man also shared that his parents are no longer alive and he has three sisters who didn’t bother to call him on his birthday. Naturally, the man felt a little lonely and sad.
He wrote: “M here. Today is my birthday and I only got two birthday wishes, one from a friend and one from my girlfriend (although she still scolded me for no reason afterwards). My parents died last year from an illness. I have three sisters but none of them contacted me or even thanked me on my birthday. Is it really that hard to be a man in today’s world? Am I the only one who feels this loneliness on my birthday or do others experience it too?”
The man’s post ended with a question we don’t discuss enough: Is it so hard to be a man in today’s world?
