Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are officially engaged after nine months of dating.
The Real Housewives of Orange County Her friend shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, August 28. Alexis’ post featured a photo of her and John happily embracing, and if you take a look at her left hand, you’ll notice she’s wearing a new diamond ring. The Finger.
Alexis’ caption further hinted at an engagement, which she later confirmed in another Instagram post. “On cloud 9 celebrating 9 months of love and laughter and looking forward to my forever with you,” Alexis wrote alongside her first post. “Every moment together was a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we are building together. And the answer is 100000000% yes.”
She added hashtags that read “Nine months strong” and “love of my life” before quoting a Bible verse: “Now abide faith, hope, love, these three. But the greatest of these is love.”
Alexis concluded her Instagram caption with a hashtag that read “Gift from my mom,” a tribute to her late mother.
John’s proposal takes place during his and Alexis’ anniversary trip to the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara.

After Alexis’ time as RHOC While a member of the cast, she separated from her husband Jim Bellino and began a relationship with Andy “Drew” Bohn. The couple became engaged in December 2020 but separated in September 2023.
John, for his part, was introduced first RHOC Viewers when he started dating Shannon Storms Beador in 2019. The Californian businessman appeared on RHOC over the years, but he and Shannon split in November 2022 after filming on season 17 was completed.
Fast forward to December 2023. After some speculation about Alexis and John’s relationship status, Alexis confirmed on Instagram on Christmas Day 2023 that Johnny J was her husband. “Words can’t. Actions can. I will no longer feel guilty. I will not apologize. Love will write (its) own story,” she wrote on Instagram while showing off the Van Cleef & Arpels ring he gave her. “I love you Johnny J.”
In the months since they made their relationship official, Alexis has publicly shared her love for the California businessman online. John has also spoken about their bond, including when he defended their relationship on Instagram in February 2024. In a post that Alexis re-shared, he put it this way: “We love each other… but more importantly, we laugh… A LOT.”
The couple also spoke openly about merging their families. Alexis is mother to twins Miles and Mackenna and son James, while John has three grown children from a previous marriage.
“We have all got our families used to each other, including the dogs,” said Alexis The daily dish in July. “We are moving in a direction that will be a long-term one. So it’s exciting.”
At the time, however, she and John weren’t actually living together. “I mean, we try to stay together when we can, but I have my three kids who still live here full time,” Alexis noted. “We try to stay together as much as possible, and we’re together every day. I mean, there’s not a day that goes by that we don’t either have lunch or meet up or hang out.”
The couple also travels a lot. In June, Alexis and John took a trip to Puerto Rico with their respective children. Then in July, she gave a glimpse into her and John’s overseas trips to England.
That same month, Alexis joked about going ring shopping with John.
“Honestly, I think he’s trying to distract me. I know it’s coming because we went ring shopping together. So it’s definitely around the corner,” she shared during her interview with The dish of the day. “It could be tomorrow. It could be in six months. I honestly don’t know because he throws a lot of little things at me.”
She added: “I think he’s just trying to confuse me. So, I don’t know… I mean, America will know when it happens. We’re not going to stay quiet about it.”
Viewers can get further insights into the relationship between Alexis and John on RHOC Season 18. In the premiere, she spoke for the first time about her feelings for him, explaining, “We tried to fight the feelings, (but) after the second week, John and I knew that was it… unfortunately, your heart wants what it wants, and that’s where we are.”
