Claim to fame Participants of the third season Mackenzie Adkins And Hud Mellencamp formed a close bond in the ABC reality series, and now their respective fathers, Trace Adkins And John Mellencampget to know each other.

When chatting with We weekly exclusively ahead of the season finale on Wednesday, August 28, Mackenzie shared that both Trace, 62, and John, 72, planned to attend a cast viewing party for the finale Claim to fame Consequence.

“Both of our fathers still believe to this day that we won (the competition),” Mackenzie said. “So they will both be in a bit of a shock (when they see Adam Christopherson win), and they will be there with us tonight watching.”

Mackenzie, Hud and their fathers are joined by Claim to fame Participant Jill Kurlfink, Gracie Lou Hyland, Naomi Burns, Shane Brando And Nael “Danny” Zayas for the television party, Mackenzie said.

“We’re really excited,” she said. “It’s going to be really fun.”

Hud chimed in and said he was pleasantly surprised at how well the cast gets along in real life.

“One thing I thought throughout the whole (experience) was, ‘None of us could be friends after this. You’re going to see me talking trash about you in the background throughout the whole thing when we’re watching this show and no one is going to respond to my texts,'” he joked. “But we all hang out together, we all talk all the time and I’m very grateful for that.”

Mackenzie and Hud seemed to be more than just friends on the show as they grew closer and started flirting. While they remained tight-lipped about their relationship status in their joint interview, the duo hinted that they have been spending time together.

“He’s here now, so I think that’s our answer,” Mackenzie said with a smile.

The Claim to fame At the wrap party, Mackenzie will meet Hud’s father for the first time, although Hud has already had the opportunity to meet Trace. It will also be Trace and John’s first official meeting, although their musical paths have crossed before in the past.

Although Trace was not familiar with Claim to fame Before Mackenzie joined the cast, he enjoyed watching the third season.

“It’s really clever and entertaining,” he said. “It’s a puzzle and you can play along.”

Besides Mackenzie, Trace even has a favorite player and a player he doesn’t like so much.

“I like Hud and Shane, I think they played the game very well. I think Adam is just kind of still there,” he said. “I don’t really understand that.”

The “Ladies Love Country Boys” musician noted that he was “completely confident” that Mackenzie would do well on the show.

“Mackenzie is very smart and I knew she would conduct herself in a professional manner and she did,” Trace said. “She was always very pleasant to be around, she always has a smile on her face and it’s just contagious. She’s just a sweet girl and she’s been successful in everything she’s done. She’s never done anything that disappointed me and she’s the only one of my children that I can say that about.”

Mackenzie and Hud became the Claim to fame Second in Season 3 after Adam won the final challenge and correctly identified her two celebrity relatives. Then it turned out that he Michael Bolton‘s nephew.
