PublisHer and Visa present “She’s Next”

In his message to the news media today, Al Qasimi says: “At PublisHer we are dedicated strengthening the role of women in publishing and Improving career opportunities for women and thrive around the world.

“Publish is characterized by creativity and entrepreneurship, and we strive to empower women Platforms to demonstrate their skills and talentsS.

“Our partnership with the Visa initiative She’s Next offers such a platform, shining a much-needed light on local publishing talent. We are enthusiastic work with visa to support our mission.”

And Laila Mostafa Abdullatif, Director General of Emirates Nature-WWF, says: “Women offer diverse perspectives and experiences that contribute to more comprehensive strategies and solutions that work for 100 percent of humanity.

“Emirates Nature-WWF is pleased to support women-led businesses and initiatives in conservation, sustainability and other areas through advice and unbiased mentorship.”

A growing track record

In 2023 Publish perspectives Visa understands that Visa’s collaborative initiatives in the Gulf Cooperation Council markets – She’s Next and another program called She Trades – trained 340 women from six countries, responsible for up to 12,000 employees. This work, carried out in partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC), was evaluated with 96 percent of participants reporting improved skills and 97 percent reporting increased confidence.

For the third edition of She’s Next this year, Microsoft Philanthropies is on board “to further enhance the business and digital skills of women entrepreneurs and increase their competitiveness, market access and financial inclusion.”

Many Visa users may not be aware that since 2020, the company has invested around $3 million in more than 250 grants and coaching for women supporting small and medium-sized businesses in countries such as The United States, Canada, India, Ireland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, EgyptPakistan, Kenya, South Africa, Ivory Coast, and Morocco.
