An “aggressive” United Airlines passenger was filmed biting a flight attendant this week after a plane took off from Miami.
United Flight 762 left Miami International Airport in Florida on Tuesday evening for Newark, New Jersey, but suddenly had to be diverted to Orlando after an unnamed passenger caused chaos on board the flight.
United said The Independent A statement said the passenger became “aggressive and disruptive” and flight attendants “worked to de-escalate the situation and protect other customers.”
Cell phone footage of the incident obtained by TMZ, shows a woman shouting and cursing at other passengers while flight crew try to restrain her in the aisle.
Flight attendants are seen attempting to de-escalate the situation by putting zip ties on her. The woman is then seen attempting to bite a crew member’s shirt.
“Let me go, I’m a fucking girl. What are you going to do, kill me?” the woman appears to say in the footage.
“These people have an attitude problem and they’re not doing their damn job. They’re handcuffing me. Why are you handcuffing me?” she screams.
Additionally, the woman in the clip shouts swear words and threatens someone outside the camera’s field of view.
The video shows police officers entering the plane and escorting the woman out to the applause of other passengers.
United said the flight crew decided to land in Orlando, where police were waiting to remove the woman from the plane.
An Orlando Police spokesperson told FOX 35 the passenger was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation, adding that no arrests had been made as of Wednesday.

The chaotic incident caused the flight to be delayed by three and a half hours because the flight crew had to be replaced by a new crew in Orlando., WSVN reportD.
“This flight is here in Orlando and the crew will not continue the flight due to the events between here and Miami,” staff at the terminal in Orlando said.
It is unclear what caused the woman to begin behaving “aggressively” during the flight.
So far, 893 reports of undisciplined passengers have been reported to the Federal Aviation Administration in 2024.
