Mumbai:
Alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is in a Delhi jail, has gifted actress Jacqueline Fernandez a yacht for her birthday.
The yacht has been named after the actress. Sukesh announced this in a letter to the actress, who celebrates her birthday on Sunday.
It is the same boat that Jacqueline chose in 2021, according to Sukesh. In his letter, he informed that the yacht, named ‘Lady Jacqueline’, would be delivered this month. In it, he wrote that all taxes for the yacht had been paid and it was completely legitimate.
Since the actress is committed to animal welfare, Sukesh also revealed that the animal hospital he gifted to Jacqueline in Bengaluru is almost completed this year.
On the occasion of the actor’s birthday, the fraudster has promised a donation of Rs 15 crore and 300 houses for the families of the victims of the Wayanad landslide disaster.
He also announced 100 iPhone 15 Pro for making the song “Yimmy Yimmy” featuring Jacqueline a super hit.
Sukesh was arrested on May 29, 2015 for violating Sections 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and some sections of the Chips and Money Circulation Schemes Prohibition Act and the Maharashtra State Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Institutions) Act.
He was released on bail by the Bombay High Court last month but remains in jail pending numerous cases against him.
Jacqueline was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
According to the ED chargesheet filed in 2022, he allegedly used illegal money to buy gifts for Jacqueline.
Moreover, actress Nora Fatehi was questioned in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
