She is especially interested because her sister Troy has a connection to Matt.

The good times can’t last forever, however, as danger knocks on their doors. In addition to the premiere date and images below, Peacock has revealed a fun teaser that you can watch above.

Annie Weisman, showrunner, executive producer and writer of the series, said in a statement: “I discovered Based on a true story as a fan of Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, and I was immediately drawn to the show’s addictive mix of dark humor, high-octane action and likable characters. In Season 2, we expanded on these exciting themes while introducing driving new character dynamics and an evolving crime story.”

Weisman praised the cast, adding, “Kaley and Chris deliver exceptional performances, bringing depth, authenticity and comedic chemistry to every moment. Tom Bateman’s portrayal of Matt effortlessly switches between charming and creepy, while Liana Liberato embodies Tory’s feisty free spirit. And we’re thrilled to welcome Melissa Fumero to the series in a surprising new role. The entire cast does an excellent job of balancing humor and heart, creating a deeply funny, unpredictable and engaging viewing experience. I can’t wait for you to join us on this wild ride.”
