Nothing says dinner in the Hamptons like a dreamy table setting surrounded by trees, cool tones, and soft lighting, so it’s no surprise that Susan Lucci found just the right aesthetic for a recent party.
The All My Children star, who lives on Long Island, shared a stunning look at a recent birthday dinner she hosted for a good friend and revealed the lengths she went to make sure everyone felt like they were in Tuscany, Italy on the magical evening.
“Table set for a good friend’s outdoor birthday dinner, just waiting for my guests to arrive!!,” she wrote under the first snapshot showing the setting of the evening.
Susan had set up a large, long oak table in her garden with fairy lights hanging from the trees and a white runner along the table. Bouquets of sunflowers were placed along the table with candles in between.
A second photo showed the group of friends enjoying their dinner. Susan captioned the post: “A touch of Italy!!! Magical late summer evening – felt like we were in Tuscany!!”
Guests enjoyed cold cuts platters with fruit and bread, freshly roasted vegetables and mozzarella salads.
Susan wore a beautiful white floral A-line dress that showed off her arms, while her friends all wore similar summer looks in different colors and designs.
The 74-year-old has lived on Long Island her entire life and recently gave fans a glimpse inside her Garden City home, which is full of coastal charm. Garden City is less than a two-hour drive inland from Sag Harbor, one of the most remote points in New York State, and is home to the likes of Julie Andrews, Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley.
Susan bought her home in 1978, and according to Zillow, it’s now worth nearly $4 million. The 6,000-square-foot home sits on a 4,000-square-foot lot at the end of a cul-de-sac. It was her beloved husband Hubert who persuaded her to move back to Long Island from New York City. There they moved into the six-bedroom 1927 Georgian Colonial home and raised their two children, Lisa and Andreas.
She married Hubert in 1969 and they were married for 53 years before he sadly passed away in November 2022.
In 2023, Susan was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmys and she thanked the Academy, her family and fans, as well as her late husband Hubert for the honor.
“The cherry on top for me tonight is that my son Andreas is here with me,” Susan concluded her speech. “It means so much to me to have you here with me, darling. I feel your father’s presence here with us and I thank my husband Helmet Huber because he has contributed everything to me being here tonight to accept this incredible award.”
