STATEN ISLAND, NY — Eating contests at the Richmond County Fair are included in the price of admission. But the free, all-you-can-eat meal comes with one condition: You must eat as much as you can in under two minutes.
And the winner has the privilege of having a chance at a blue ribbon – and can also boast the title of “Champion” at a New York eating contest.
All ages are welcome. No pre-registration is required. Please check in approximately 30 to 40 minutes before each event on the lawn in front of the courthouse and in the main stage area.
The competitions will start on time. The schedule is listed below.
Water is provided. Otherwise, you are on your own.
General admission for ages 12 and older is $17. Children under 5 are free. Ages 5-12 are $7. Seniors over 65 are $12 each.
The fair will be held at Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clark Ave., Richmond; 718-351-1611. HistoricRichmondTown.org.
