Hoda Kotb celebrates her 60th birthday with her daughters and her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman: “My party was perfect”

She also shared a video of her loved ones singing “Happy Birthday” before blowing out the candles on her cake

Hoda Kotb celebrates another milestone birthday with her loved ones!

The Today The show host, who turned 60 on Friday, August 9, shared a glimpse into her birthday party at her home, where she was surrounded by friends and family, including her daughters Haley Joy, 7, and Hope Catherine, 4.

An Instagram post from Saturday, August 10, shows them all gathered around a table with two cakes. Kotb is seen smiling broadly, with a silver birthday cap on her head, as she stands alongside her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman, her daughters, her mother Sameha Kotb and others.

“Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes!!!! My party was perfect! —Aside from my sister being home sick 🤧, we missed you Hala— ❤️❤️❤️,” Kotb wrote.

In a follow-up video, her loved ones could be heard singing her “Happy Birthday” as she moved over to hug Haley Joy in front of the cake. After the photos were taken, the two leaned over to blow out the candles and everyone applauded. Kotb could then be seen hugging her two little girls.

She also shared a snap of the birthday balloons and bouquets she received decorating the area around her enclosed fireplace. Her final photo showed her two daughters smiling at the camera while their loved ones served food outdoors.

The TV presenter also gave a little insight into the preparations for the party in her Instagram stories on August 9.

In one photo, the proud mother is seen unwrapping presents from her little ones, who have gathered around to watch. Other photos show Hope holding up a bunch of balloons she gave her mother and both girls smiling with their grandmother in the kitchen. Behind them, dozens of drawings by Kotb’s daughters hang on their back door.

“Great birthday morning!! Lucky me xoxoxo,” she captioned her post.

Kotb’s family members were not the only ones celebrating their 60th birthday. Her Today Co-host and friend Savannah Guthrie also paid tribute to her big day on Instagram, sharing her favorite things about the on-air star.

“Happy birthday to the person who brings a smile to everyone they meet, who is quick to offer a hug, whose giggle is infectious, who never stops cheering others on,” she wrote. “To the person whose mere presence instantly changes the atmosphere for the better… I love you and admire you and cherish every minute we get to spend together.”

“That’s 60, you beautiful creature!” her post concluded, alongside a photo of the two of them sitting together at the news desk, laughing.
