It was love and basketball at first sight.
ESPN reporters Malika Andrews and Dave McMenamin tied the knot at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge on August 24, Kobe Bryant Day, and the pictures from the wedding were just too beautiful.
Andrews, the host of ESPN’s NBA today And NBA Countdownshared a series of sweet photos from her Bay Area wedding on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old reporter thanked everyone who contributed to her wedding day and wrote in the caption: “When you want something, the whole universe conspires to help you achieve it.”
In keeping with their professions, Andrews and McMenamin’s wedding also included several basketball-themed tributes throughout the ceremony.
There was a fully functional basketball hoop at the reception and a seating chart for guests designed in the style of an NBA tournament sheet (with the timeless pun “Please Be Seeded”), according to Andrews’ interview with fashion. McMenamin, an NBA reporter who primarily covers the Los Angeles Lakers, also wore Mambacita Nikes to the wedding photoshoot to pay homage to Kobe Bryant.
The ESPN power couple met in 2017 at a New York Knicks game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden. Both Andrews and McMenamin now live in Los Angeles.
