We have news for fans of Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, as Bandai Namco today announced a new Open Network Test that fans can download from the eShop. The event will take place on Switch and other platforms at the end of next month.
Those who take part can explore the virtual world and compete with 20 players against unique and vicious enemies such as the Skull Reaper and the Sword Golem. Players can also take on the roles of their favorite characters from the series.
Characters
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream will feature nine of the 21 characters from the full roster, depending on the party’s needs:
- Combat: Kirito and Asuna, who are versatile with their balanced DPS skills.
- Tank: Agile who specializes in provocation skills to lure enemies and shield his allies.
- Rogue: Argo and LLENN, who use their attack power and agility to disrupt and confuse their enemies.
- Mage: Oberon, who creates anomalies on the battlefield through various disruptive spells.
- Rangers: Sinon and Fukaziroh, who excel at attacks from long distances.
- Support: Leafa, who provides magical buffs and healing to her team.

- North America: September 20 (Friday) to September 22 (Sunday)
- United Kingdom: 21 September (Saturday), 03:00 BST to 22 September (Sunday), 03:00 BST
- Europe: 22 September (Sunday), 07:00 CEST to 23 September (Monday), 04:00 CEST
