Athiya Shetty pens an oh-cute birthday wish for ‘the best dad’ Suniel Shetty and shares a PHOTO from wedding with KL Rahul

Actor Suniel Shetty, fondly called ‘Anna’ by his fans, is celebrating his 63rd birthday today. To make his special day extra special, his daughter and actress Athiya Shetty has posted adorable posts for him. In the first post, she uploaded a beautiful candid moment from the Haldi ceremony. The picture shows Suniel flaunting his love for his daughter by giving her a peck on the cheek.

In the caption, Athiya described her father as her “best friend.” “Happy birthday to my best friend, best dad and best human (red heart emoji) I love you… so lucky to learn from you everyday,” she wrote.

For her second post, Athiya took a trip down memory lane and shared a picture from her childhood. In the adorable picture, little Athiya can be seen sitting on her father’s lap.

In the meantime, Suniel has many exciting projects in store professionally. From “Welcome 3” to “The Legend of Somnath”, Suniel will be seen in various roles in the upcoming projects.

Speaking to ANI, he said, “In the coming months, I will be seen in ‘The Legend of Somnath’. I am really looking forward to it. The film has already been shot, just some VFX work is pending. I am also working on ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and have a show with Lionsgate called ‘Nanda Devi’.” If reports are to be believed, ‘Nanda Devi’ is an “explosive thriller” project.

In a career spanning over three decades, Shetty has acted in films like ‘Dilwale’, ‘Mohra’, ‘Gopi Kishan’, ‘Krishna’, ‘Vinashak’, ‘Dhadkan’, ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Hulchul’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’. Fans are eagerly waiting to see him again in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ with actor Akshay Kumar. The film is the third installment in the successful ‘Welcome’ franchise that starred Feroz Khan, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal. The second installment titled ‘Welcome Back’ was released in 2015.

Actors John Abraham and Shruti Haasan replaced Akshay and Katrina in the second part. Both films were directed by Anees Bazmee. Welcome 3 will be released this December. The third part was announced with a commercial on Akshay’s birthday last year.

Akshay Kumar shared the video and wrote, “Khud ko aur aap sab ko ek birthday gift diya hai aaj (Gave myself and all of you a birthday gift).
