At present, the total installed capacity of new energy in Jinchang’s power grid is 5.56 million kilowatts, accounting for 75.6 percent, ranking fourth in the province. The review of the overall access system plan of the second batch of projects during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) has been completed. The projects will be successively connected to the grid after the construction of the 750-kV water source substation is completed. At that time, the installed capacity of new energy will reach 7.6 million kilowatts, accounting for 80.82 percent of the total installed capacity. The characteristics of the high proportion of new energy in the grid will be gradually highlighted.
