Packers 2024 practice squad signings tracker

Packers 2024 practice squad signings tracker

During the 53-man roster cut, the Green Bay Packers released linebacker Ralen Goforth and cornerback LJ Davis because of injuries, making them the only players the Packers released who cannot join Green Bay’s practice squad under league rules. Otherwise, the floodgates are open for the Packers’ 16-man unit.

As a reminder, teams can sign up to six players with at least two years of NFL experience under the league’s current practice squad rules. Other than that, there are relatively no restrictions on which players the Packers can bring back from their summer roster or poach from other clubs.

Stay tuned as we update you on the latest rumors surrounding the team’s practice squad. To illustrate, here are the roster numbers by position from the Packers’ active roster:

  • Quarterbacks: 2
  • Running back: 3
  • Recipients: 6
  • Tighter ends: 3
  • Offensive Line: 10
  • Defensive End: 5
