Travis Scott makes a loving birthday toast for James Harden

James Harden celebrated another year around the sun on Monday (August 26) and spent his special day surrounded by his loved ones. One of the highlights of the evening was when Travis Scott gave a special toast to the shooting guard, telling the entire room that Harden was the “greatest human being of all time.”

With a bottle of Don Julio 1942 in hand, the “Goosebumps” rapper stood on a chair and commanded the room. “To the greatest human being of all time, if you don’t leave this place without having had the time of your life, or if you’ve wasted your life, or if you’re out of water or out of Sprite, then we can’t be friends after this,” he said during his toast. “I just want everybody to step up to the next level for the greatest human being of all time. If you’re here, you’re just here to celebrate the best of the best of the best of the best… that’s my greatest friend of all time.”

He concluded by asking everyone to toast Harden, saying, “Dance until your feet can’t anymore. When you have a shot in your hand, you have to raise the glass up high. We’re just here to have fun, not for a long time.” Watch the video below.

The Clippers player echoed Scott’s sentiments the next day by choosing a photo of them as the cover image for his Instagram post and also including a video of the speech. Harden captioned the carousel, “Last night I celebrated my birthday in great camaraderie #Uno,” and enjoyed a flood of birthday well-wishes in the comments. The post revealed that other guests at the party included Lil Baby, Michael Rubin, Kevin Durant and many more.

Harden and Scott have publicly shown great support for each other over the years, with their shared connection to Houston serving as an anchor of their friendship. In a 2019 Billboard In an interview, the former Rockets player summed up their bond as follows: “We give each other confidence. We talk about how we can be better in our own class. It’s really become a real brotherhood and friendship. It’s pretty cool.”
