“I Dream of Jeanie” star Barbara Eden celebrates her 93rd birthday

Eden looked chic in a black quarter-sleeved top and a bright yellow boho skirt. She completed the look with gold jewelry and stylish white glasses.

As she was seen entering a salon in Van Nuys, California, she stopped to express her gratitude to her fans – and revealed how she planned to spend her special day with her loved ones.

The legendary actress, who entered show business in 1955 with a recurring sketch, The Johnny Carson Showseemed to have her birthday party planned with a visit to the hair salon, lunch and a relaxing rest of the weekend.

Previously, she shared her thoughts on the “secret” to enjoying life at 90.

Eden said: “I think the secret to feeling great is staying active, doing things you love and having a good sense of humor.”

In a separate interview with People, she reiterated that she feels “really lucky” in her final years.

She said: “I have lovely friends. I have a wonderful family, a very supportive husband, a dog who is sweet but a rascal! Yes, I am very happy. I think life, everything, has to work itself out. There is a reason for most things and I cannot wish it on.”

With a career spanning nearly seven decades, Eden has an impressive track record.

Although she is best known for her role as Jeannie on NBC’s hit sitcom, she has also starred in 25 films, including 19 made-for-television movies and five television series. Despite her major successes, Eden really enjoyed the smaller roles that initially introduced her to viewers.

She said: “Every time I appear in person, someone comes up to me and asks me about the manicure I did in an episode when The Andy Griffith Show. I also have an episode of I love Lucy, and the fans remember it too. When I made it, I just didn’t think it would ever live this long or that people would remember it.”
