FLINT, MI — Now in its 47th year, the HAP CareSource Crim Festival of Races continues to achieve its goal of bringing the community together through health and fitness for all.
Thousands of athletes took to the newly completed Saginaw Street walls in downtown Flint on Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24 – some competing against others for a top spot, but most competing against themselves for personal records or just the glory of finishing the race.
And the numerous races provided plenty of opportunity for more than just runners.
MLive photojournalists Nico Mendoza and Jake May were on hand to cover it all and capture images that captured the spirit of the Crim.
From the Lois Craig Invitational and Michigan Mile to the 10-mile race and even the Teddy Bear Trot, we’ve been there to capture images of all the joy, sweat and exhaustion that comes with racing.
