Ahead of the Oregon football team’s long-awaited 2024 season debut against Idaho on Saturday, many fans are realizing that those who cannot attend the game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene will not be able to see it.

On Monday night, Washington football fans trying to watch the Huskies’ game against Oregon State on the Big Ten Network were unable to see the Comcast/Xfinity channels and received a message directing viewers to allhuskiesgames.com, a Comcast phone number, a Washington QR code and the Big Ten Network logo.

The website allbtngames.com clarifies: “Comcast Xfinity is the only pay-TV provider that has declined Big Ten Network’s territory expansion offer. As a result, Comcast Xfinity viewers in many territories will not have access to live broadcasts of the highly anticipated B1G season-opening games for Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington on the Big Ten Network.”

When entering the various zip codes for Eugene on this website, all of them display a message saying that sports from Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are not available on the Big Ten Network with Comcast/Xfinity. The same information applies to some zip codes in Salem and Portland.

So far, fans and customers have only reported suspensions on Big Ten Network, not other Comcast/Xfinity channels. The Oregon football team’s season debut will air on BTN on Saturday against Idaho.
