5 adults attack Dublin High School students in the locker room

Dublin Police are investigating two controversial incidents at Dublin High School, including an attack on a student.

The Bay Area News Group first reported that five adults entered the boys’ locker room last week and attacked a teenager.

In a letter to families obtained by KTVU, Principal Maureen Byrne said the school’s football player and coach were able to stop the attack.

No motive was given and the circumstances that led the adults to attack the teenager were not explained because “the investigation is ongoing,” Byrne said.

She did not say how old the adults are or what connection they have to the school.

She said much of the incident was captured on video and police had identified a number of suspects.

“We are outraged that this happened on our campus,” Byrne said in her written message. “School must be a place where everyone feels safe and supported.”

She said the hallways leading to the parking lot will remain closed until further notice and students will have to enter the rooms through the doors facing the practice area.

Dublin High School was also briefly locked down a week ago because of false reports of a fight on campus involving a deadly weapon.
