Elton John withdraws from Dreamforce concert

  • A 26-year-old man has been charged with arson in connection with the Thompson Fire, which broke out in Butte County in early July and destroyed 13 homes. Authorities accused Spencer Grant Anderson of Oroville is said to have thrown a “burning object,” possibly a firework, from his car while driving north of the city, which was observed by witnesses.   • Elton John has cancelled his participation in this year’s benefit concert for Dreamforce at Oracle Park due to “unforeseen circumstances”. He will be replaced by Pink and Imagine Dragons at the Sept. 18 event. Tickets cost more than $1,000. (SF Business Times)
  • A 38-year-old man suspected of committing a murder in Dublin on Friday, Nicholas Paleveda, was arrested about 400 miles away at a Walmart in Barstow on Saturday. (KTVU)
