Rod Wave Concert – Sold Out Birthday Party

Rod Wave Concert – Sold Out Birthday Party

Last Saturday, things really got going when I attended Rod Wave’s sold out Birthday Bash concert and it was another amazing show full of surprised guests and diehard fans singing along to every song word for word. The show featured a full lineup of artists including 42 Dugg, Lil Durk and YTB Fatt. Rod really put them on and the fans were jumping out of their seats, shocked with excitement that these were the “friends” performing.

The backstage experience was cool. A giant Rod Wave birthday card was on display and there weren’t too many people there, not to mention anything really doing anything besides the staff running a tight show and making sure the surprised artist arrived and got on stage on time. There was a designated area for backstage access to watch the show and it was a good spot to watch, but the best view was on the family and friends platform. I had a great view of the performances and really enjoyed 42 Dugg’s performance. I met a few Instagram influencers and a good friend, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White.

I thought the production and stage were great. I felt like every artist that performed there did their best and made sure fans had a place to watch from front to back. I thought Tom G’s performance really got the party going as he took out of town visitors on a journey through Tampa. Tom played all of his timeless classics that fans knew every word to. He interacted very well with the audience and really owned the room.

Rod Wave took the stage, but not before Lil Durk came out and stood him up to really get the non-stop thunderous applause and crazy energy going. The atmosphere immediately turned into a sea of moving lights and fans singing every song. Rod barely had to say a word, the fans were behind him all night. Watching the concert from the ground, surrounded by thousands of passionate fans, was thrilling to watch. Every hard beat and lyric sung by the fans made the night extra special and I’m sure Rod felt that too. It was the best birthday present anyone could ask for.

Performances by 42 Dugg, Lil Durk, Tom G. and YTB Fatt were simply amazing and fans looked forward to these surprises. Each artist brought their own unique style to the table, contributing to a night of non-stop littiness. Rod Wave’s heartfelt performance and solid stage presence were the highlight of the show and after recently losing his manager and family member Uncle Dee, the fans who were there to comfort him and show him support made the event an unforgettable highlight for him and everyone in attendance.

I can’t wait for next year’s birthday party. Check out the photos from Saturday’s concert!
