Rod shaft invited his famous friends to take the stage at his special birthday concert in his home state.
The celebrations took place on Saturday, August 24th, at the Amelia Arena in Tampa, just minutes from his hometown of St. Petersburg. “Rod Wave & Friends Birthday Celebration Concert II” was the party of the century for some fans. During the show nostalgia Rapper surprised fans with sets of his friends like Lil Durk. Durk was accompanied by Doodie Lo from OTF and played songs like “Hellcats and Trackhawks.” He even brought a diehard fan on stage with him after they met for the first time.
Rod Wave also had Little Poppa, YTB Fat, 42 Dugg, Tom G and more convince with unforgettable performances. Of course, the 25-year-old, who celebrated his 26th birthday, also belted out numerous hits for his fans such as “Lonely” and “Green Light”. The show also included elements of his “Nostalgia Tour”, including the infamous balcony that he used for his performance of “Come See Me.” During the show, Rod stood on the railing as if preparing to fall backwards, as he had done in the past. This time, however, he dismounted before the end of the song and flashed a message calling the suicide prevention hotline.
It has been almost a year since Rod Wave released his nostalgia Album with 21 Wild, Sadie Jean And Wet. A month after the album’s release, he embarked on a 35-city arena tour that kicked off on October 19th at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, NE. Rod Wave wrapped up his tour last December at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville. A few months after the tour ended, Rod prepared fans for his next project by releasing his current single “Stun.”
