Aisling Bea has had her first child with her boyfriend Jack Freeman.
The 40-year-old comedian announced the happy news on Monday by sharing an adorable photo of her “little gift” – but gave her pregnancy only a one-star rating.
Aisling beamed as she smiled for the Instagram update, with her newborn baby on her chest.
She wrote, “TripAdvisor review of Pregnancy: One star,” and then joked that there was no breakfast included and the drinks menu was “limited.”
The actress listed the negative aspects, adding: “Urinary tract infections, bleeding, depression, cramps, insomnia, nosebleeds, blocked sinuses, migraines, vomiting and being touched by other people without asking.”

She continued: “Bone mush, organ movement, skin stretching, being told you’ll forget all the pain/that it’s a privilege/that it’ll all be ‘worth it’ in the end, a heightened awareness of climate change and worst of all – boredom – were all described as normal and she was repeatedly advised ‘a nice bath’ as a cure for it all.”
Aisling added a short list of positives, writing: “Bathroom quite nice. Lots of help with luggage at the end of the stay. Before checking out, the man from the nearby kebab shop gave me some extra chips for free and gave me a rather flirtatious wink, which I appreciated. When checking out, I got a little gift, which I have to admit is quite sweet.’
Aisling announced she was pregnant with her first child in June with a hilarious post after showing off her baby bump at the Big Slick ’24 event.
Aisling showcased her bump and shared funny videos and snaps of a cartoon face painted on her bare stomach after performing a background dance with comedian Seth Herzog.
In the caption of her post, Aisling also shared that she is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, producer Jack.
She wrote: “The dignity is intact. I got pregnant so I could try and put something next to Paul Rudd’s face to make him look older.”
“Thank you to @bigslickkc, Paul, @sethherzog, Superboy @travisKelce and most of all our angel @sherylcrow for helping me show off my belly in the most dignified and elegant way possible.”
“Sheryl suggested that Seth and I could be her very professional background dancers with our silly idea, how fitting! She really just wants to have some fun, guys.”
