Shay Reilly is a 14-year-old from Youngsville who enters both animals and artwork at the Warren County Fair every year.
Her artistic skills and creativity are evident in the exhibition buildings through her paintings and decorative designs.
In addition to her artistic contributions, Reilly brought six goats to the fair this year, which she will exhibit as a representative of her 4-H club. She is a member of the multi-species club, which includes young members who raise sheep, goats and pigs.
“I enjoy creativity and it comes easily to me. People ask me where I get the ideas for my creations and I don’t know, they just come to me.” said Reilly.
She also said: “I love the trade fair week. Seeing all my friends again is probably the highlight.”
In addition to participating in the fair, she is an avid bowler and was a member of the Youngsville High School Junior Envirothon team that took first place in the JV division.
