Rupali Ganguly said her son Rudransh celebrated his first birthday without his beloved grandmother Sudarshan Verma.
Rupali Ganguly, known for her role in Anupamaa, recently posted a touching update on Instagram. The actress expressed her deep grief over the loss of her mother-in-law Sudarshan Verma and revealed that her son Rudransh celebrated his first birthday without his beloved grandmother. In an emotional video, Rupali gave her fans a glimpse into the deep bond between Sudarshan Verma and her grandson and spoke about their special bond.
The video shows moments from Rudransh’s previous birthday celebrations where his grandmother blesses him on his special day. From cutting the cake with his grandmother by his side to visiting her at the hospital, the video captures the deep love between grandmother and grandson.
Alongside the video, Rupali wrote, “Rudransh’s first birthday without that one person who perhaps loved him more than his parents… Forever Daadi ka laadla Krishna… Smt Sudarshan Verma… your emptiness will always be felt. Cherish the parents and grandparents… pure, unconditional, unadulterated blessings.”

On the professional front, Rupali Ganguly is currently seen as Anupama in Star Plus’ hit series Anupamaa alongside Sudhanshu Pandey and Gaurav Khanna. According to a report by Bollywood Life, the show might take another significant leap and might add a well-known actor to the cast. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Shivam Khajuria might join the show as Aadhya’s (played by Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni) lover after a leap, but it has not been confirmed yet. The makers are also looking for an actress for the role of grown-up Aadhya, who would play opposite Shivam. There are speculations that Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna might exit the show after the leap.
The show also stars Madalsa Sharma, Arvind Vaidya, Nidhi Shah, Nishi Saxena, Kunwar Amar, Alpana Buch and others. On her personal life, Rupali married businessman Ashwin K. Verma on February 6, 2013. The couple has a son named Rudransh.
