John Cena reacts to the nude scene at the Oscars and the filming of sex scenes

John Cena may have let it all out and shown himself up close at the Oscars earlier this year, but he revealed this week that he is not a big fan of it, naturally Screen.

Appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, the Jackpot star admitted that he finds filming sex scenes in movies “the worst.”

“Right now, you guys at home think we’re alone. No, there’s a whole damn world back here,” he said, pointing to the podcast’s off-camera team.

“It’s still a great production. But man, the catering was right there and the sound tent was right there.”

John then recalled a particularly unpleasant experience on screen.

The WWE star starred alongside Amy Schumer in the 2015 romantic comedy “Dating Queen.” At one point, his and the comedian’s characters attempt to share an intimate moment before he completely ruins the moment with his embarrassing dirty talk.

“Amy is an angel, she made it such a comfortable atmosphere, and then when I got the part, at one point they said, ‘Yeah, it’s a sex scene. We want you to do elaborate and crazy stunt sex, and all those lines you had? We’re probably not going to use them, we’re just doing this stunt sex scene,'” he recalls.

“It takes so many people to make a movie. There’s nothing intimate about it. Nothing. So it’s really awkward, and then to do a weird sex scene where you’re making fun of yourself?” he continued. “They literally said, ‘Try to have the most awkward sex you possibly can.'”

“When an audience is watching, it’s different,” he added. “I’m not saying it’s crap. It’s just different than what you all think.”

Then they asked the lead actor of Peacemaker what was worse, his Oscar-winning stunt scenes or his sex scenes.

(In case you missed it, John made headlines after presenting an award completely naked onstage at the Oscars in March.)

John then replied vehemently: “The Oscars.”

“I walk into a room full of colleagues – many of whom I have never met because I haven’t worked my way up to get to know them,” he said.

“I have the most decorated artists, producers and directors in one room, and I walk out there with all the stops on my stuff and think, ‘Hey guys, is this funny? Are we good?'”
