Japanese whisky Misaka takes a big win at the World Whisky Masters 2024: Moodie Davitt Report

Misaka, the premium Japanese whisky range launched earlier this year by Hong Kong entrepreneur Harry Kartasis – wunderkind of Global Drinks Limited – has won the prestigious World Whisky Masters 2024, organised by The liquor store.

The competition was judged by members of The Spirits Business editorial team and a panel of independent spirits experts. Misaka Mizunara Cask 12 Years Old and Misaka Sherry PX Cask 12 Years Old both won gold medals, while Misaka Pure Malt received silver.

“These awards are a testament to the craftsmanship of our Minami Alps distillery and the team of highly skilled master blenders who have perfected a whisky that can now compete with the Gold Medal standard,” commented Kartasis.

“Each gift box contains our gold and silver medals. We are grateful to all our partners who have supported our vision of creating a world-class whisky brand.”
